Maegan LLerena

Was recruited for Make the Road Pennsylvania (MRPA) while she was pursuing a career in clinical social work after completing her bachelor’s degree. Maegan started with the organization as an intern in 2017 then organizer, and became the director of Make the Road PA and Make the Road Action in PA in 2019.

She has overseen the strategic vision of both organizations, helping lead expansion in the state, win bold campaigns, and provide political expertise that is reflective of the communities served. In 2022, she co-founded the Senior Leadership Team for Make the Road States which serves as an umbrella organization for the second-generation Make the Roads (CT, NJ, NV, and PA). She has since received her Masters in Social Work. Under Maegan’s leadership, MRPA has overseen remarkable growth in Pennsylvania, where MRPA has become a progressive powerhouse. Maegan is the daughter of Peruvian immigrants and lives in PA.
